nlvm.usu.edu - Online Virtual ManipulativesOn the National Library of Virtual Manipulatives site, you will find a number of online Java math applets that teach numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, data analysis and probability. |
The applets are arranged by subject and grade: PreK-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12.
Activities include creating 3D patterns, basic programming, Venn diagrams, using base blocks and much more. These is also a good online graphing tool.
You can also play with games such as tangrams, fractal generation, pentominoes and peg puzzles.
Each applet is accompanied by very clear instrucions. The online version is free, but you can also purchase and download a full version for local installation on your own computer.
