Digital Dialects is a website that features a number of interactive games for learning basic vocabulary and phrases in 55+ different major and minor languages - English, French, German, Russian, Greek, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi and many more.

The number of games and exercises available differs between the languages. Most languages have activities for learning phrases and greetings, colors, animals, numbers and the names of fruits and vegetables. For some or the more popular languages you can learn the names of days and months, units of time, and vocabulary for e.g. food and clothing.

A nice site. Another similar site is http://www.languageguide.org, where you can see and listen to illustrated basic vocab in a few languages. These resources are developed collaboratively with the help of volunteers. It is sponsored by Language Guide, a registered non-profit organization.
