Qimo - Linux For Kids

Qimo is a lightweight, complete, free, Linux operating system for children, designed to run on a stand-alone computer. Qimo comes pre-installed with educational games for children aged 3 and up.

Quimo is similar to Edubuntu, but Edubuntu is geared towards schools and network environments, whereas Quimo is designed for home use.

The pre-installed software includes Tux Math, Tuxpaint, Tuxtype, Gcompris and Childsplay.

Qimo has low system requirements, and is a great, cheap and easy way to set up an old computer for your kids to play on.
